That green bar? Live bridge status.
This venue shows IsBridgeUp — real-time status of the drawbridge nearby. Same data, on your phone, wherever you go.
How to read it
LOWERED — the roadway is open at the bridge; this does not measure congestion.
RAISED — bridge is up, plan around it.
Left of the needle: the last 30 minutes as they actually happened — solid green (was down) or solid red (was up), nothing in between.
Right of the needle, striped: a historical pattern for this time. The colors summarize recorded activity; they are not a live forecast.
Amber boxes — the official raise schedule: windows when the bridge may go up for vessels.
Gray boxes — lockdown: raises are prohibited (rush hour), the bridge stays down no matter what.
How to use it: check the current physical state first. Use recorded events and the historical pattern as context, not as a promise of what happens next.
How accurate is it?
We pull live data straight from FL511 (Florida's official traffic feed) and verify it with reports from the Miami driver community. When FL511 lags, real people on the ground crowd-source the call within seconds.
Is it really free?
Yes. Checking bridge status and receiving bridge-status alerts costs nothing. Pro ($4.99/mo) adds historical context, vessel radar and supported vessel-approach alerts, plus an ad-free experience. It is optional.
